Isaac Otto


Raised in Arkansas before moving west, Isaac is a composer and multi-instrumentalist focusing primarily on single reed instruments. His interest lies in hybridizing parametrized and intuitive compositional techniques with open- and closed-form improvisation. Primary influences include Anthony Braxton and milieu, the AACM, Renaissance polyphony, the Tristano school and 20th-century composers such as Takemitsu, Mingus, and Ferneyhough.
